I am doing a bear costume popup this Wednesday for my uni project: the emphasis on the sound of food in our daily life. It would be a random interview format and I will edit them in a broadcast. I wrote questions on paper and made them like envelopes as a preparation for strangers.

I don’t want to write too much about my experience of performing like a bear and provide free hugs to people because it is not suited for the topic I am getting on. I get almost a hundred more hugs in the event and my friend Darcy was helping me in documenting and giving microphones to people. Free hugs were like food, supportable things in our daily life, what ever who you are, in which level, in which class. Though there are lots of people don’t understand why I doing it and some of them are thinking I am a lier who did not bring real free supports to people. But I found it is worth doing it.
I am very glad I had access to interview the chef Robert Oliver. (We did it through WeChat so it was not recorded properly)

WeiYuan is famous for its spicy Sichuan food and it located in tower bridge, which is very near my flat. I interviewed the waitress about sound of the food.
I am getting an interview from the manager of the planet organic https://www.instagram.com/planetorganic/
Planet Organic was founded by the American entrepreneur Renée Elliott. She opened the first store in 1995 in Westbourne Grove, West London. It is reported to have been the UK’s first organic supermarket.
Planet Organic is now the UK’s largest fully certified organic supermarket and sells over 8,000 product lines in eight stores within the M25.
In January 2020, Planet Organic announced a partnership with delivery company Supper, offering different dishes to be ordered and delivered from the company’s two Tottenham Court Road stores. In 2020, Planet Organic announced plans to double their current store numbers within the next 4 years, expanding their overall number to around 18 stores.
In March 2020, Planet Organic acquired London based chain As Nature Intended, in a move that will nearly double the current estate owned by Planet Organic.
I am also getting an interview from the borough food cooperative : https://www.instagram.com/boroughfoodcooperative/
The Borough Food Cooperative was set up by St. George the Martyr Church in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. With the help of many fabulous volunteers, we began preparing and delivering food parcels to nearby households and families. The response was so positive, however, that we developed our project into a pantry-model Food Hub – where we’ve been offering subsidized groceries to our local community since October 2020.
Since our inception, the Borough Food Cooperative has been open to all. We will always try to help anyone walking through our doors looking for any kind of assistance, but fundamentally, we’re a volunteer-operated Food Hub that works to tackle food insecurity and food waste in South London.
